George's Story

I thought most of you knew what I have been doing. I guess not. Ok, so, here goes. I have been a Life Guard, a Fireman, (actually a Fire Captain) and went on from there to work with as a Deputy State Fire Marshal. I left the fire service because I fell and busted my, ahhh, hip and never was 100% after that. (That's what happens when you don't pay attention, ..... so, no surprise there, right.) I went back to school (BIG surprise there though) and graduated with a BS in Business Administration. (The easiest degree I could find) and worked as an accountant for a couple of oil companies. worked with when I was a Fireman and he talked me into becoming a private service Paramedic. So, ... I did, ... and I've been employed as a private service Paramedic ever sense. I've been to Africa twice, to Central and South Amereica. All as a Paramedic, I can't think of anything I would rather do. My specialty is burns and respiratory emergencies. Right now I'm a Paramedic Preceptor in Kern County (actually have been for a while) and I have assisted the Kern County Paramedic Training Program as a guest lecturer. In 2007 I went to Sacramento and was awarded a Star of Life. Currently, I am finishing my clinicals in phlebotomy. Well, that's enough about me. I haven't talked like that sense we were in school.
