George's Story
George is from Atlanta, Georgia. He is married. His schools include North Fulton High School. He later attended Millsaps College (Psychology Major, Music Minor), and earned two masters' degrees from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.
One of my favorite quotes is: ""Deadlines Amuse Me" which I stole from a bumper sticker. Because of my ADD, it is a much better self-management plan than freaking out because I don't get things done according to someone else's expectation. (Hey, look at that cat!)
So far I have won awards for speaking, writing, acting, and running, but not for singing, which chaps m because I've been singing ever since I left band to join choir in the 10th grade.
I've written two novels and am halfway through the third. Look for my first e-book release by November. Whoops, look at that cat. I got it done on April 24, 2012. I continue working as a therapist and as an industrial psychology consultant. I own a house at 3264 Hidden Acres Drive in Doraville and expect to return...Expand for more
to Atlanta in 2017.
I took on a major gardening project in 2011 and built about 250 square feet of raised beds and planted tomatoes, squash, rosemary, and sundry things. Maybe next year I'll plant cotton and 'taters (do I hear a song coming on?). Well, since I presently live in Spokane, I'll probably skip the cotton. I got a great tomato crop, but we ran out of growing season before the mortgage-lifter tomatoes got red.
The last show I did was Guys and Dolls. A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to The Forum with the Spokane Civic Theater. I played Lt. Brannigan. In my younger years I was President of three local chapters of Mensa, the society of people with good test scores who like to amuse themselves with the company of other people with good test scores. As I get older, I've slowed down on the company of other people and spend more time amusing myself.
I might be able to amuse you, too. Go to Smashwords and download my novel, Crimson Liberty." Dale Ferguson read it and said she liked it.
