George's Story
Life
After graduation I did the usual summer gear down until August, when I entered the Air Force where they taught me how to load different type bombs, bullets and missiles onto F-4 and F-111 aircraft. I did my four year commitment. However, it did allowed me to see Europe (England, Italy, Spain & Belgium) in my first two years, but then I was forced to spend my last two years in Las Vegas. After that I figured it was down hill from there and left the military.
I attended Trident Technical College and earned my Associate in Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology, which allowed me to get a great job at the Naval Weapons Station, r...Expand for more
eworking munitions, built missiles and learned how to put round objects into square containers. Go figure.
I retired from the Weapons Station in August 2004 as a Management Analyst with the Navy Public Works Center, spending most of my time behind a computer doing personnel work, drug testing and physical security.
Most of my free time was spent with a line dance, social organization where I did some dancing, set up the equipment and taking photographs of all the shows. I even created and maintained the web page for this group. I now just lounge around the house sometimes swimming, keeping the grass cut and learning to live with arthritis.
