George's Story
I have three wonderful kids, Rachel, Adrienne, Brandon and one grand daughter and a grandson.
Rachel married Brian Haseloff they live in the Arlington, Texas. Rachel is a Pharmacist and Brain is a MD. in Sports Medicine.
Adrienne married Ben Allison they live in Dumas, Texas. Adrienne is the coordinator over the safety and environment department at the Swift Plant and Ben is the High School tennis coach and working on getting his administrated certificate. Adrienne has just been promoted to the Swift corporate so this June they are going to be moving to Greeley Colorado (way to go Adrienne),They have my grand kids three year old Darby and Preston.
Brandon is married to the Army for three more years, he is with the 1ST CAV Air Division and is back in Baghdad for his second tour. Please keep him in your prayers.
About three and a half years ago I had a drastic change of life, Colon Cancer, had surgery and eight months of chemo. Took early retirement from BP (23 yrs in the Business).
I was on the Make-A-Wish Board for the Amarillo and Lubbock area for a number of years, two years ago we were getting ready for our Chile Cook Off in Amarillo and once again I had to go to my Oncologist and get a check up and passed with flying colors I might add.

was visiting with one of the Oncology nurses (after eight Months of chemo you get to know the staff very well) so in the conversation I told her about the Chili Cook Off and just in passing I ask her to come and help pass out chili, that she would have a good time, she said that sounds like fun she might just do that.
I was at the Cook Off just working away and was telling my roommate and best friend Roy Pat what had happen at the Dr's office and just mention that this good looking nurse might show up and help us. So, he said call her up and see if she is coming, my reply was no, they (the nurses) say things just to make you fill good at the time during check ups. Roy Pat wouldn't drop it so I called her up at the Dr. office and asked if she was going to come out and she said yes. I picked her up early on Saturday morning she worked all day, we went to Dinner that night and got married last April on a cruse ship.
So, what a life, I have truly been blessed, had a some bumps in the road of life but with God's help and lots of prayers, family and good friends I am making it on down the road just a little further, and that's a good thing !!!
