George's Story
Life
George Irving Rolling Jr. was born and raised on the west side of Chicago, Illinois. He attended George W. Collins High School dropping out in his Junior year after the passing of his beloved mother Cora in 1983. Rolling later went back to school to earn his G.E.D. at C.C.A. Academy, where he graduated Valedictorian of his class.
In 1986, Rolling received the Mayor's Hire The Future Award from the late Mayor Harold Washington for his recommitment to education. Several years later while conversing with his younger sister Tarsha, also a poet, Rolling became intereste...Expand for more

Rolling's accomplishments include:

2004 Shakespeare Distinguished Poet of Excellence Nominee
Member of the International Society of Poets.
His poetry can be found on compact disc as well as in numerous anthologies.
George Rolling Jr. continues to live and write in Chicago, Illinois.
