George's Story
After graduating in 65 from MU I married my high school sweetheart, Tamara Meder (Ferguson HS class of 62). I worked for a St. Louis company for 5 years learning Finance. In 1970 I took a job with a Fortune 500 company and moved to Denver where I worked for 41 years. Over time I became the Corporate Credit Manager and was responsible for $3 Billion in assets. ith diverse cultures and a lot of new friendships along the way. Something I never envisioned as a kid growing up in Ferguson.
Tamara and I have had a love for horses our entire lives. We've owned them for 40 years. After our 3 children were raised we bought a hobby farm with acreage outside of Denver where we enjoy retirement and our lifelong passion. Most days you will find me on my tractor or doing something around the barn. I've always intended to wear out not rust out.
