George's Story
Life
In December 1998, I married Farideh Paymani and shortly thereafter we packed up and flew to South Africa, as Africa was the only continent she hadn't yet visited.
Farideh fled her native Iran 30 years ago because the Islamic Republics persecute members of the Baha'i Faith. Since that time she has travelled to over 60 countries and has dined with heads of state from Russia to Taiwan, met with villagers in Viet Nam and Thailand, and even hiked 3 days through the jungle in the Phillipines to meet with a remote tribe that had never seen outside people.

We also lived in Turkey for 4 months giving more lectures, and toured Europe for 3 months. The absolute highlight of our travels was the many trips we made to the Holy Land, in Haifa, Israel, to ascend the Terraces surrounding the Shrine of the Bab on Mount Carmel, and offering our humble supplications nearby in Akka at the Shrine of Baha'u'llah, the Founder of the Baha'i Faith, Whose teachings on World Unity formed the basis of my lectures.
The last 4 months of our travellings we spent in London, where we were interviewed on Sky News at Queen Elizabeth's Golden Jubilee Anniversary parade, and shortly thereafter I actually met the Queen!
