George's Story
After graduating Jeffersonville-Youngsville Central School, I attended New York City Community College in Brooklyn, NY, where I received an associate degree in Hotel Management and then went on to Michigan State University on a scholarship. There, I received a B.A. in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management but decided I did not want to start working at the Villa Roma (owned by my father and mother, Ernest and Hilda Vindigni) or in the hotel and restaurant field. My Dad and Mom then sold the hotel to the current owner, Marty Pasanti. After the sale of the hotel, I left for California where some of my Mom's relatives lived. large company and then went back to college to get an accounting degree. I then got a job with the U.S. General Accounting Office (now know as the U.S. Government Accountability Office or GAO). The GAO is a Congressional agency that works for the U.S. Congress and does audits, evaluations and investigation of U.S. executive branch agencies and federal programs. I worked there for 32 years as a Defense Analyst and retired in December 2004. After being single most of my life, I married Honey Wade on September 6, 2007. Honey is a retired clinical psychologist with a PhD in psychology from Stanford University and was a 1960 Rose Bowl princess. Pretty lucky for a guy from Jeffersonville, NY!
