After 1946 I went to Corpus Christi Jr. College for awhile, the highlights include two motorcycle mishaps one with James Pusley. I went to work at Celanese Reaearch as lab assistant to head of Research and George Shaffer and I decided to join the Navy. When it came time to discharge I was at NAAS Cabaniss and had married Margaret Rose Burke an Irish beauty from Corpus and was having our first son and was going back to my Ceelanese job when Harry Truman extended us because of Korea so I elected to stay and sspent 30 years in the Navy serving and visiting many places from Africa, Japan, Philippines various ships and stations from San Diego to Washington State leaving children behind at certain locations . A daughter at Whidbey Island Washingon an artist son in San Francisco a son to the Navy who did 20 years and another son in Corpus. I finished my career in Kingsville and retired to the hill country on a small place on the upper Nueces River near Montell. I built my house finished my education at Sul Ross with a Bachelor of Business Administration while managing a Ag Equipment Dealership for two different owners at Uvalde. Then for some unknown reason and much to my regret I left Texas and moved to Indiana in 2007. here.....it's O.K. but not Texas also more taxes.I am near 87 and wonder if any of my old classmates remember the skinny kid from Clarkwood. I am on Facebook as George Wolf Sr.Update: Today as I am nearing 88 I am still mourning the death of my beautiful wife: Margaret Rose Burke Wolf we were married October 21, 1950 after a blind date some 2 years earlier so we have been one 0ver 65 years. I am planning a trip back to Texas June 19. 2016 and will drive first to Carthage and then to Uvalde where I spent 30 years after the Navy and wish I could go on to Corpus area, which I may, but at this point it seems a bit daunting as I still drive all the time but up here it's a short but winding roads that I travel on. Most of you knew me as Sonny and even on my Diploma the last name is spelled wrong (with an e but I have found out that my grandfather was the first who dropped the e). I am considered by doctors to be in excellent shape for my age and I had a new dermatologist last visit and she was young (anyone is young now) made the remark after a whole body exam..."I am impressed" so guess I have aged fairly well and I recently broke out my saw and hammer and remodeled the storage on both sides of my garage so I try to remain active.Facebook George Wolf Sr.
