George's Story
I got married in June of 1970. Worked some jobs around Kansas City. 72 joined the Navy left home. After a year made some rank sent for my wife she came and we lived in Virginia,Re-enlisted in the Navy went To Corpus Christi Tx. 3yrs . Then to California. Then To Great Lakes Ill. I had planed to make the Navy a Carrear , But was injured well on active duty. Received Honorable discharge medicale. Recive full military benefits. Went to work for th...Expand for more
e US Postal Service in 1984. Forced to retire do to my injury from the Military. in 1997; Received my full retirement benfits from the POST OFFICE. Had two spinal surgeries came out ok . I got to see a lot of the world while was in the Navy. Also my family traveled with me everywhere I went in the U,S Made alot of friends everywhere we went, Now we live in Western Shawnee Ks. Watching my grandchildren grow. And my first great grandson. I'am Blessed.
