Life
Spent 14 years at the Chicago Stock Exchange as their Director Technology Planning (what we would now call a CTO). Built a commercial telco network for an office tower, wrote an exchange-specific network protocol, automated third-world exchanges from Amsterdam to Bangkok.

ons as their CTO. Seven years later, we sold the company to IBM. Now I'm Chief Architect for IBM Global Service's Conversions & Migrations group. Live in Chicago, office in Austin, and work out of an airline seat.
If I ever get bored with IBM (hard to do - they keep throwing money at me) I'll retire and spend my declining years chasing clouds in my Cherokee.
