George's Story
My wife, Carol, and I live in Puyallup, WA. As you know she's my second wife named Carol.
(I'm no idiot.)
I was a journalist for 30-some odd years and taught at the University of Missouri School of Journalism for nearly a decade. (Wouldn't Mrs. Pemberton be proud?) Teaching was great fun and the University of Missouri School of Journalism is the oldest - and in my opinion remains the best - journalism school in the world. Unfortunately, some fool put it in the middle of Missouri.
No ocean, no mountains.
All you can see is corn and sorghum.
Except for the sorghum, sounds a lot like Abingdon, doesn't it?

wife and they both work. She is director of sales at the Marriott Courtyard in nearby Tacoma.
I just completed a 250-page manuscript I call "The De-MYTHS-tification of Writing" and am setting about finding an agent - and then, I hope, a publisher. You'd like the book. It exlains why most of the rules of grammar and punctuation we learned in school are as worthless as Liberian currency.
If you're out this way, give us a shout. If you know a publisher who's interested in saving the English language and has a habit of doling out enormous advances, don't wait until you're out this way.
I'd provide an e-mail address and phone number, but this system won't permit it. We're in the one book.
