Georgeann's Story
Well again this is my summer past time to go on this website, and just find out about classmates. Seems like a natural part of what we do, especially at this time of our lives. However, the past has been very good to me. I continued to get my education at Fresno State, and teach middle school as a resource specialist. I am looking forward to retirement in about 2-3 years. I am delaying it due to the fact my 29 year old son has decided to go to law school. We do not want him to feel too much financial stress even with loans and scholarship money. My husband and I (married 36 years) wanted to help with daycare for our 2 year old granddaughter. My daughter-in-law is a teacher here in Henderson Nevada and works very hard to make ends meet during this period of change. I would bet, so many of us have done some similar things to support our family in this national economic crisis! Currently I decided to take up golf lessons, and not delay learning it for 3 more years. I go to a golf school here in Henderson, while I house sit for my son. They are in Japan to visit with his in-laws each summer. I will be heading for Arizona later to visit with friends(lived there 1978-89) and enjoy more hot climate!...Expand for more
Best regards and have a great summer!
Retired June 2015 spending time with my son Adam while helping him in his new law practice. I always have been a court TV fan, and now I'm in the thick of it here in Vegas. We also are following my granddaughter who is rapidly progressing in figure skating for the laSt 5 years. She is only ten but very accomplished. Competition this summer will be exciting!
Well now it is 2019 not much has changed. My son and family moved to Las Vegas closer to Metro. The neighborhood is classic 60 and 70's. Lots of people are remodeling. Their house was done, but currently building a pool. My daughter in law cut teaching to part time, so she can take daughter to more figure skating time. Very busy and June her team will compete in Theater on Ice in Birmingham. I will of course be on house and pet watch. My husband and I have good health 90% of the time. I am thankful for all I have and have enjoyed a low key routine daily. I do manage a few short casino trips, and in August going to Canada.
Gone to Banff Canada last August. Also Thailand trip in 2017. I think I will try quilting. I only want to make one for my Granddaughter. I here it is invasive and addictive.
