n 1998 I became the social studies coordinator for Virginia Beach City Public Schools which at that time was the second largest school district in Virginia. I earned a doctorate Ed.D. in Educational Leadership in 2004. In my spare time I am an adjunct assistant professor of geography at Old Dominion University and teach at least 1 class per semester.
I am retired from the school division but continue to conduct training for teachers and design curriculum for geographic information systems or GIS. We had three chlidren, a daughter and two sons. Being true to the social studies, our daughter was a bicentennial baby born in 1976.
I enjoy working in my garden and making maps. Hard to believe that 50 years have gone by.
