My Spouse
I met my husband on a blind date. I wasn't dating after a breakup, and a friend decided I should start again. So he started giving out my phone number. I went out with this guy, and after four days he asked me to marry him. He chased me for four months until I caught him. His name is Thomas E. Demeny. He was stationed at White Sands.
We were married July 27 1968 and lived in the town of Organ for about 4 months. Of course he got orders for Viet Nam. That's when we found out I was expecting. We went to Wisconson in Nov. and after Tom had shipped out, or is it flown out, for the Army? I stayed with his family until our first son was born. In May I flew to Hawaii to be with Tom for his R&R, and to show him his son. Thomas E. Demeny Jr. After I got back, I got to missing my family and flew back to New Mexico. I just happened to be there when my oldest brother Gary was killed. I'm glad I was there for my parents. I had a bad time of it though, so my uncle contacted the Red Cross and they sent Tom home early.
He was stationed at Biggs and we stayed there until he got out.
We moved back to Wisconson and bought a big old House, about 50 years old, and had another son Ronald B. Demeny. We fixed it up and then sold it and moved back to Cruces. Missed my family again. We lived in Cruces for several years while Tom worked for Burns. When the 2 older boys were 11 & 9 we had another boy Joseph T. Demeny. MY THREE SONS. Ha. When he was three we moved to Silver City,and I worked for Burns for awhile. After Tom had worked for Burns for about 12 years, he went to work for the Department of Justice. Bureau of Prisons. He started at La Tuna. Then we transferred to Seagoville, Tx.where he was a General Foreman. We had a big ranch style brick house. We were there for a year then moved to Big Spring, Tx. where he was Construction Representative, until he retired after 21 years. isiana, where we are fixing up a big Folk Victorian which is on 7 acres of land, with a pond,great big barn, has 5 bedrooms 3 bathrooms a living room and library 4 fireplaces and a wood burning stove in the breakfast room, laundry room, large 4X12 pantry and a wrap around porch.
My Kids
I have three boys. The oldest 2 are married. Oldest has 2 stepsons, and the other has 2 boys and a girl.
The update on my boys.
The oldest is now divorced from his first wife for 2 years and is engaged to remarry on June 26th. The middle son is still married and still has 2 boys and a girl. The youngest was married on April 27th, and is ready to start a family, if the good Lord wills it.

I always wanted to be a wife & mother when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good thing idea. As it turns out, they were right.
Well here we go again.
Up date on my boys. lol.
My oldest Tom Jr. is in a relationship and going to be a father for the first time. We are all very excited. He's waited a long time for this. Ron is in Mansfield Tx. and still happily married to Yuir. Their oldest Kyle is in college, Alex is a senior, and Rachel is a junior. Joe and his wife Dinah have moved to WV.
We are still working on our house. It's a never ending project, after all, it is 98 years old. It is very beautiful. People are always asking to see it.
Well our house is now 101 years old. We are still working on it. Redid the floor in the kitchen and breakfast room and the front porch and rebuilt the side porches for the cross hall doors. We've put in a new vanity and medicine cabinets in the main bathroom. On and on.
Have a new grandson from my eldest. Now I have a 22 & a 20 year old grandson, a 19 year old granddaughter and a 2year old and 1 year old grandsons. Wow .Now my oldest has a girl. Logan born 01/07/2013- Marshall born 02/11/2014- Sofia born 03/15/2015. Wow again!
