Gerald (Jerry)'s Story
After spending 2 1/2 years I got out of the Army in 1962. Iwent back to collage for one semester at the University of Indiana Pa. In March 1964 I started working for Ohio Bell in Cleveland Ohio. Still having the traveling bug I put and was accepted by AT&T International for an assignment in Iran. I was there for 1 1/2 years before geting thrown out by the revolution. The one good thing about the whole thing was that I met my wife Liz over there and we were married on our return to the US. ID/ AT&T project in Cairo Egypt. We spent 4 years there before returning to the US.My next assignment was as Director of Operations for AT&T Network Cable Systems in Hong Kong. I stayed therre for 7 years I returned to the US even though I was the Operations Director for South America. All together I spent36 yrs with AT&T and 17 of those over seas.
I retired in 2000 in Atlanta Ga. I work part time at Bass Pro Shops but spend the majority of my time fishing and hunting. I've seen the world (over 60 countries) and done a lot of things and hope to do a lot more.
