Gerald's Story
Where do i begin.
After trying and failing collage in 1957 I joined the Army for 3 years. spent over 2 years in France and loved it. Was discharged in 1960 and settled in the Chicago area in December of that year. What a wakeup that was after 3 years of not paying for living expenses. Have been here ever since.
Met my wife in 1963 and we were married the following year. We had 2 boys and now have 7 grandkids, all very special.
I have held many jobs since 1960. They were my OJT school. Changed every 2 years until 1982 then I found Elkay Mfg....Expand for more
where I stayed untill my retirement in 2003. My carer was in Accounting then computers. Where I have written over 3000 applications in both the business end of things and on the operation side.
Over all this time my 1 true passion was bowling. When i met my wife I was ready to go out on the PBA tour carring a 214 avg. Well she did not like the idea of liveing out of a suit case so I geve the game up for 16 years. Restarted 1n 1980 and have regained and maintained my average since then. However, I have not returned to the PBA even as a senior.
