Geralyn's Story

Life's been rough, but also good. I gave birth to seven girls and I now have 6 grandchildren (1 grand daughter and 5 grandsons!) They are my life. I hoping to retire in 5 years, hurray!! I still keep in touch with a handful of my high school friends. It's great to know that we all still look the same (lol!) Who ever is reading this, just remember to live life to the fullest, enjoy, laugh and be happy!! I always wanted to be a detective when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were okay with the idea of me having my family and working my ass off to this day! LOL! The way I blow off steam, hmmm, it depends on the extreme of the matter. Breathing slowly is a good technique, or sometimes just screaming my head off makes me feel better. It calms me down after I let it all out. The wildest thing I ever did in school, ummmmmmmmmm, I kept on the down low, didn't reveal myself openly very much. I was a bit insecure about myself and didn't really speak out. Now, well that's a whole different story, I finally broke out of my shell in my adult life. If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have food, good people, and reasonable hours to be able to deal with the day-to-day. My heroes are my children and grandkids. I get my inspiration from them. They are my whole life. I love them very dearly. I do for them before me. As I grew up I lived in different states and even in another country. My dad was in the Air Force, so we traveled every 6 months up until I was 10. We finally settled down in San Jose, CA for the next 30+ years. I moved to the Central Valley after my 3rd marriage. (yes, I said 3rd marriage). Till now, the year 2009, I am still here. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Felicia Lacson Ming, because she is a very good friend of mine and I haven't seen her in years. I love watching competitive Softball. As for TV, CSI and Supernatural are my favorites. I have American Bulldogs, they are my next generation kid...Expand for more
s! LOL! My expectation of life hasn't turned out the way I wanted it to be. I haven't won the Lottery yet!! LOL!! My biggest surprise in life right now is finding how lonely it is at home without my kids. My children are all grown and left me. I didn't want them to go, not that soon. It's too quiet in the house. I am very proud of them. They have grown to be successful and independent. If I could improve my home, I'd remodel the whole thing and add on a live in shed in the back yard for my dogs and for my husband when he is bad . My dream home would be a castle, like the ones in Scotland. I've learned to be very understanding about life from my kids. They have taught me to be a better person at times. I still have my old ways but in a better manner. I've always told my kids to do and be better than me when they grow up. I'm proud to say they listened. The teacher I would love to see again is my 5th grade teacher from Meyer Elementary, Mr. Benvenuti. I could still remember the fun field trips we went on and the fun he taught out of teaching. If I won $100 million, I'd give a lot of it to my kids, other family members, charities and friends, then spend the rest on my bills, buy a castle, a new honda accord, and go on a nice relaxing trip then come back and go on another one with the whole family. Never did any of the dorm or frat stuff. Although my girls have. It would have been an experience for me, I'm sure, but I don't regret having my children and raising them. To be truly happy and content right now, I would like to be retired and financially set to be able to live the rest of my life without worries. I would like to be volunteering at different organizations and charities to help those in need. I hope to do these things with my soul mate and other willing people who care. My current age is 48. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be more happier and less stressed about living life. I was so completely confused and didn't understand adults then to how they are now.
