Gerry's Story

After graduating from Boston University, I lived in NYC and worked in advertising. In 1972, I moved to Los Angeles and attended UCLA Graduate Film School. While at UCLA I wrote for THE BOB NEWHART show, M*A*S*H and also wrote scripts for Warner Bros, 20th Century Fox, etc. I met my wife-to-be, Liz, in 1988 and we discovered the wonderment of Italy where we've been traveling almost every year since 1995. Since then, I've been working with Liz in the industry of Children's Publishing and Entertainment. In 2000, I co-created an animated TV series called ToddWorld which a...Expand for more
ired on the Discovery Kids Channel. The series was EMMY-nominated 3x for "Outstanding Animated Children's Program." My first children's book, NATHAN SAVES SUMMER, was published in June 2010 and won a "Mom's Choice Gold Award". The second book in the series, NATHAN AND THE REALLY BIG BULLY, is available now on the Barnes & Noble Nook and, after October 26, will be available as a printed edition. My kid's storybook app, BRAVE ROONEY, is available on iTunes. I live in Pacific Palisades, outside LA, which is similar to West Hartford without a Friendly's Ice Cream Parlor.
