Gerry's Story
I went to UCLA & eventually received a PhD in Geography leading to a 40-yr academic career at UCLA, with stops at USC & the University of Khartoum, Sudan, before retiring. I married Sondra Dungan Hale in 1960, also a UCLA PhD in Anthropology, who teaches Anthropology & Women's Studies. We have two adopted daughters ...Expand for more
from Asmara, Eritrea. We both have specialized in African/Middle Eastern studies. Retired now, we live in Culver City while still remaining active in international affairs, civil & human rights issues, & race relations. Glendale High School days seem very far away, very distant though I do still remember a few folks.
