Life
Oct 66 I went into the Army. I flew helicopters. I flew helicopters in Vietnam for one year, 1969-70. I was discharged in 1971. Learned airplanes also. I am currently a free lance helicopter and airplane pilot as well as a flight instructor and examiner. I am married to Carol A. Krak, a travel agent. Married 22 years, no children. Lived in various locations. I love Chicago and glad to be settled here in the restaurant capitol of the U.S.
October 2005 I went back into the Army Reserves after 10 years inactive. I was mobilized 04 Jan 07. I flew C-12...Expand for more
airplanes at COB Speicher, Tikrit, Iraq. My year was up in Jan 08. I was discharged 30 Jan 08 and returned to reserves. I retired from the Army Reserve when I was 60 years old Sep 08. I will not completely retire. I will continue with what I was doing before being mobilized. Mandatory Army retirement is 60. I returned to Iraq flying as a civilian contract pilot from Oct 09 to June 2010. I am now semi-retired. Working part time.
Updated March 2022. Only changes Carol is now retired. Married 31 years. I'm still working part time at what I enjoy doing.
