Gideon's Story
I have a very interesting story. I have a lot of ups and downs in my short lifetime. After Jones I went to Harold Washington College and got a degree in Business Management. Then from there I worked for CNA Insurance in downtown Chicago for about 3yrs. From there I started my own business and had contracts with The housing authority of cook county, 2 major mortgage companies and one high school. I enjoyed that work with my wife (Roshelle) who I married in August of 1991. My business was doing very well until my wife got very ill and she died on october of 1997. ay I was very devastated. Down but not out! We had two children together so I had to keep it together. I closed the business and for four years I worked for Comed. That work was not fulfilling to me, I felt at this time in my life I needed a challenge and/or change. So now in my life I have three loves God, My kids and Teaching. I teach at an alternative high school now. It is very challenging but also rewarding. I feel good about myself and I feel as if am making a difference. I guess in time I will find someone that can fill that other space in my life but for now im OK!!!
