Gina's Story
2009 looks to be a bit slower for me than past years, yeah! I have resigned my position as president with Summit Art and have accepted the Public Relations position with the Cultural Arts Coalition of Eastern Jackson County. Now instead of working strictly with one organization I now get to work with 30. I have also started my website back up - ginasgems.net. I have a wonderful group of artists that I help to showcase and give them another marketing outlet. I am currently working on the Cultural Arts Coalition 20th Annual Showcase that will be held at Longview Mansion. I LOVE throwing parties there as I am the great great great neice of RA Long. This will be my 3rd big event I have hosted there in the last 2 years.

she is taller than me - but then again I am short - ha ha. But whose child isn't growing fast. So now I am faced with the challenge of keeping her entertained this summer. I am amazed at how much there is to do in our city - it is a staycation for us this year.
My husband and I are still working on our Bi-Plane. We have one wing completely covered now and have three more to go. I hope this summer we will have more time to dedicate to the plane as my husband is no longer traveling with IBM every week. It has been wonderful having him home as it has been 9 years of constant traveling. It is hard to beleive that my husband and I have been together for 22 years this July and married for 8 1/2 years. Time does fly by.
Life is good and I am making a real attempt to make sure I slow down this year and really enjoy what is going on around me.
