Gina's Story

I am currently living in Hillsboro, OR with my oldest son David. My youngest son Robby is going to be a father soon, my first grandbaby! I have been off work due to an injury, but have been going to PCC and should have my degree in Gerontology this spring. Prior to getting hurt I was working towards a nursing degree, but will no longer be able to work in that field. I have enjoyed the work I was doing with Alzheimer's and Dementia patients so switched my major to Gerontology. I have been i...Expand for more
nterning at Friendsview in Newberg as the Activity/Social Director and absolutely love it. I also have two girls that came in to my life when I was working as a hospice caregiver. They are 17 and 19 years and as much mine as the boys are. David has battled with Leukemia since 2006 and currently is doing well. He had a bone marrow transplant in May 2008 and so far appears to be free of cancer. I am so happy to "see" all my old friends here and hope to be able to reconnect with many of you.
