Virginia's Story
2010: After I graduated, I didn't take the scholarship I was given. No, instead I decided to become a dental assistant. Went to dental school, made all A's (of course), worked for a while then decided I needed more money. I could type over 150 wpm, so I landed a great job downtown at Bank of America International of Texas. by - had a baby - moved - bought a house - had a baby...published a book - went to college at age 40 and made all A's (of course) - got a BA in Literature and a BA in History and my Masters in Lit. Taught college for 10 years part-time and taught full time in Alvin and Pearland. Went back to school for principal's certification. Husband unexpectedly passed away July 28, 2013. Moved to New Braunfels and teach English and Creative Writing at Smithson Valley High School.
