Ginny's Story
I graduated from NBHS in 1988. I then went on to college graduating from U-Mass Dartmouth. From there I lived in Steamboat, CO, Palm Beach, FL and then Beacon Hill in Boston. I then married a man from Grosse Pointe, MI and have lived here in Grosse Pointe for the past 13 years. I have two girls; age 12 and 8 years. They are both amazing and the joys of my life. I still enjoy skiing, boating, the outdoors whether it be hiking, camping or biking. I am back in Massachusetts for at least a month each summer to see family and friends. Both Mom and Dad have since sadly passed away, so I only visit the great old town of New Bedford for a few days each year (mostly stay down on the Cape during our month) I actually LOVE showing off our great city of NB with the cobblestone streets, the Whaling Museum and its history, and the beaches in the South end. My perspective has changed and I will forever love New Bedford. I have a great life here in Michigan. I LOVE my church family and serve how I am able. church next to Stang high school). I strayed from the church completely for 20 plus years without looking back. But the seeds of my faith remained and knew about God. I am forever thankful that my parents gave me this foundation even though I didn't understand its importance at the time. For the past 7 years, I have come to know God through a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. He is my rock and I realize that I cannot be separated from the love of God, nor will I ever stray from His great love again.
John 3:16-17
" For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him."
I still struggle like each and every one of you, but experience great joy through knowing that my faith is in Him and Him alone.
