Glenna's Story
I currently live in Georgia, just outside of Atlanta. Was in Charleston, SC for a few years, but moved back to our old family Victorian monster to do some repairs and renovations around my ears. (Lord, I must be nuts to take this on....)
My 5 kids that are still living (lost one son at 16 in a freak accident), are spread out all over, in FL, GA, PA, and NY. I have 9 grand kids, and one Great grandson.. I think they are all pretty grand, and spend as much time as possible with them.
I had back surgery in Jan, so am not as "busy" as I have been in past. Worked for the last 8 years for Rick Hendrick Corporation (GO JIMMIE JOHNSON!!!!#48), but am glad to be semi-retired. May go back for a couple more years, but not rushing ...Expand for more
it just yet. My plate is pretty full.
I still keep in touch with alot of old friends from Newark, but don't get up to see them as often as I'd like. Maybe when things settle down......I was somewhat of a bookworm in school, so wasn't in the "in crowd" nor a social climber. But then, I was also a good bit younger than most of my classmates, from skipping 2 grades in elementary school. I was always self conscious about it, so I kept to myself alot. Few people really knew me because of it.
I always wanted to be a psychologist when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a dumb idea. As it turns out, they were wrong.
I love going to auctions and flea markets and yard sales. I read voraciously when the time allows.
