Gladys's Story
Life
Hey guys
I'm single; no children, not much different than high school. Same old me!!!. Enjoying life. It's a blessing to be here to do it. So many has gone on. I been working at the same place for over 20 years now. I'm in the pharmaceutical industry. I still live in Farmville and bought a house two doors down from my family home. So I'm still in the old neiborhood, and enjoying it.
School
Bobby Vick was my high school sweetheart. I probably wouldn't do it over, but it was good while it lasted. All of my times at Farmville Central was funny, happy, and crazy.
College
I didn't have all that. I worked shift work and attened Mt Olive College at night.
Workplace
Work career has had i...Expand for more
t's ups and downs, but I always landed on my feet. Burroughs Wellcome Company had a hostile takeover by Glaxo. Glaxo sold us to Catalytica. Catalytica sold us to DSM. But class of 77 is still hanging on!!!!!!!!!
Military
Everyone know I was JROTC queen. I joined the NCNG before I even graduated. That was a very good choice. I saw parts of the world that I would never have seen. Paris, Rome, Venice, Pisa, Amsterdam, Some little place in Germany. But to top it off the biggest sandbox I've ever seen, Saudia Arabia, Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm.
Bet you didn't know you had me over there protecting you!!!!! Ha! Ha!
Anyway I did my 20 years and retired. And yes with and Honorable discharge.
