Glen's Story
After graduation from FCHS, I attended Auburn University on a football scholarship. I met and married my beautiful wife, Marilynn, my junior year.
We have four children - Christy (age 33) graduated from the University of Alabama, B'ham (UAB) and is a nurse; Christopher (age 29) graduated from Auburn and resides with his wife Jill in Louisville, Kentucky where he is teaching school and attending seminary - Jill is working on her Phd in biomedical research at the University of Louisville; Joshua (age 24) graduated from Auburn in political science and is planning to go to law school at Jones School of Law in Montgomery, Alabama; and John (22) who graduated from Shorter College this summer in business administration (where he was att...Expand for more

I have pastored home missions churches for 27 years (I bet this comes as a surprise to many). Out of necessity, I was bivocational operating several businesses to make ends meet. I currently am the director of a faith-based recovery program for men with life-controlling problems (mostly drug and alcohol addictions)in Opelika, Alabama. Marilynn is a teacher at Woodland High School in Woodland, Alabama.
I am a "people person" and I treasure my friendships past and present. Things have not always turned out like I planned them - but I love life, and I have had joy in the journey!
