Glenda's Story
Life
Gary Hutchinson & I were married in July of 1973. We moved from Winnipeg shortly afterward to Saskatoon, then onto Prince Albert where both our children, Geoff & Mandy were born. In 1987 we moved to Calgary where we stayed until September 2010. Gary retired from the Federal Government after 35 years in the Bankruptcy office. I retired from the HR department of Husky Energy. We decided to follow a dream and moved to Vancouver Island, Parksville to be exact. We loved the retirement life on the Island and spent 2 years there but decided that the grandkids were just too precious so moved back to Alberta. We decided that Calgary was too big and too busy so opted to live in Okotoks (about 30 minutes south of Calgary). We have built a Villa style home backing onto the golf course here ...Expand for more
and still close enough that the kids and grandkids can come and visit anytime.
Our Daughter has 2 children, Tyler (2007) and Evie (2010) whom are the apple of both Grannie & Grandpa's eyes. Our son has 2 children as well Sheynn (2011) & Sean (2015). Both sets of our parents have passed away. We have not been back to Winnipeg in a few years. Alberta is home now for us. We have been spending the winters down in Mesa where we both enjoy golfing and Gary tows down his motor bike to ride with friends there. Gives me lots of time to enjoy my shopping!
Our lives have been extremely blessed with a lot of good times with both the friends we have made over the years in all of our homes and our family.
Love to hear from old friends and have run into many over the years and miles.
