Glenda's Story
After high school, continued my education. Later got married (wonderful husband!) and had 2 children (amazing sons!). Have been happily married a very, very looonnnng time... many more years than I have fingers and toes! Have lived in the metro Atlanta area since late 1969. Happy that our expanding family now includes 2 fantastic daughters-in-law, 4 precious little grandsons and the youngest is an adorable granddaughter!
Originally started my work career as a computer operator for 3 yrs., then moved into the computer programming field. Worked over 10 yrs. as a computer programmer and systems analyst before starting our own consulting firm in 1982. While serving as president, also worked as a computer consultant in several large corporations in the metro Atlanta area.
Officially "retired from the computer field" in 2003 to follow God's prompting and serve in full-time ministry. Have previously taught Bible study and Sunday school for several years, often teaching as ...Expand for more
much as 3 times per week. Have been an active Christian speaker for over 12 yrs. While continuing as a speaker, have just started serving as a regional speaker trainer to help develop and train other potential speakers for Stonecroft Ministries.
Even though I've had many varied interests and hobbies through the years (which include cooking, crafts, "antiquing", drawing, and writing - both poetry and stories), my very favorite activity is to spend time with those I love.
I would truly have to say:
My favorite day is... every day.
My favorite food is... every thing edible.
And my favorite exercise is... laughter!
Like most, I have learned a lot since graduating from high school. Even though "life lessons" can be very difficult, the greatest lesson that I've learned throughout my life is that there is hope... and hope has a name... and that name is Jesus. I've also learned that "Nothing (no thing) is bigger or more powerful than God, absolutely nothing (no thing)!"
