Glenn Akers, now Dr Glenn Akers (Ph.D./USC) been a college professor mostly since h.s. taught for years at CalPoly, but got tired of the commute and constant downtown traffic so switched to a local community college which is practically walking distance or by bike! Was engaged to a Cleveland h.s. girl, but after 5 years she got tired of waiting so ...she left. Many, many years later finally met my dream girl and married her practically ON THE SPOT! didn't want to take any more chances of A TOO LONG ENGAGEMENT. HA! We have two kids, a boy, 6ft 4 and a girl who looks like a model, Both of them look like their Swedish Mom, Tall, Blond, and Slender. No grandkids as yet. Finally sold my famous 40 Ford that most of you remember with the woody woodpecker stickers on the windows. Surfed for decades in Hawaii and of course SoCal and NorCal in famous Santa Cruz, where we lived and intended to live forever, until the Loma Prieta Earthquake leveled the house like a pancake (we were away at Disneyland that day...some call it luck, I call it The Protection of the Lord!) More later, the story is NOT over. Wow!!! Well, thanks for all of the views on this page. The OLD PIC on the right is an early pic of my Santa Cruz Professional Professorship for about 10 years (first class that I taught) at a private university in Scotts Valley (Santa Cruz) California. Most of the people in the OLD PIC were my students in my first class of teaching and we have become LIFELONG FRIENDS, since our kids are all about the same age with TWO preggie mommies in the pic, back then! The 100 year old school was called Bethany University. (now sadly defunct about the time of the earthquake due to LOTS of damage to most buildings) The guys were only about 10 years younger than me (in the red coat) so we all got along very, very well over the years and decades to follow. Scott Nunley on my exteme left died last year of prostate cancer, sadly missed. His wife re-married, to a billionaire patient (she is an RN) like my wife and daughter and lives with her kids in Monterey-Carmel area and we visit her often! Frank Goebel one of my best buds on my left of the red coat guy has developed Parkinson's Disease, but still maintains his Christian ministry world wide, particularly with YWAM in Hawaii and other places around the Globe. He is hanging in there and we try to visit them often as we can. My health is usually UP, but just found out yesterday that after numerous protection shots, boosters, face masks etc, etc. I NOW TODAY have Covid and must miss teaching my College classes for a week or two and go online to see them and lecture with a thing called ZOOM, which is free to all of you that wan...Expand for more
