Glenn's Story

Life Through The Ages, College at Bucknell, Graduate School at Antioch(Counseling) travels from Europe to Iceland, too working on cruise ships in the Mediterranean left me in a proper frame of mind to begin working for real during the 1970's. After living and being employed on Native American Indian Reservations in South Dakota during the mid 70's I returned to N.H. and began working as a School Counselor with elementary school children. During my early thirties I built a very cool house on 4.34 acres of land, married (still married to Jeannie for 34 years) and had three children whose ages are (28,31,33). Raising children was certainly a delicate task! I coached a great deal of their sports as they grew and have enjoyed their efforts from the sidelines (golf, tennis, baseball, field hockey, lacrosse, gymnastics, and ice hockey). The oldest, Jon, is living in Maine; skis ,bikes, works, while rasing a 3 and i/2 year old. The middle girl, Sarah is a Physical Therapist, and is married with two young children under the age of three and lives in Boston.. The youngest, Max studied Chinese and Economics in addition to performing well as a college tennis player at Bates. His passion is cooking and is presently managing La Maison du Chocolat ( a very expensive French Chocolate store at Rockefeeler Center in NYC). He honed his skills at the French Culinary Institute and used to have a blog (The Food Guy's Apprentice). I retired from my formal position as a school counselor( June 2009) in Bow, NH. after 28 years in the same room. I ...Expand for more
had a wonderful journey and still maintain contact with many of the kids. I am presently employed part-time as a mentor for High School students helping them to obtain their GED diploma in Concord,N.H. Many of the students and the families I assist are newly arrived immigrants from the refugee camps in Nepal. The families from Bhiutan have become dear friends over the past six years.. I still hike with Peter Sarafan, chat with Bill Bedell & visited Scott Edinson and Robert Young in Pasadena (last year) in addition to staying connected to a number of college buddies. My primary interest over the years has been trying to understand how people heal through an exploration of alternative methodologies. These include energy medicine, hypnosis, holographic memory resolution, creative visualization, and nutrition. In addition to my past work as a counselor I am the co-owner of 4 Planet Fitness Gyms in the Vermont. I would love to hear from you, listen to and share your stories. My wildest dreams include exploring my family genealogy, building a one story home on 20 acres of land, becoming ecologically self-sufficient, creating a nutrient dense food to feed the worlds' children, living in a yurt in Mongolia, and joining with others to create a space to laugh and grow spiritually. Enjoy and I shall look forward to sharing with you. Glenn (June 16, 2016) PS. . My Mom still lives in the same house in Rockville Centre, has a great memory, and is till rather vibrant! Dad passed away in December of 2014 (91) after a very fulfilling life.
