Glenn's Story

Hello everyone. I'm living with my mom now in Lakewood WA. She manages this page for me. And wishes she was better at it. Please know that I miss you all so very much and talk about all of you and out time in school. It was some of the best memories of my life so far. For my high school graduation, my mom took me to spend a week in San Francisco. It was great! We used to go to San Diego every year to Disneyland, Universal, Mexico and other places, but we haven't been there in over 10 years now. On January 6, 2012 I had a major stroke and almost died. I had to have a special surgery to remove the blood clot from behind my right eye. It caused my artery to collapse. It was very scary. The surgery was a success and I was in intensive care for over a week. My mom never left my side. She was with me the whole time. My dad stayed at a hotel with his girlfriend nearby and visited when he could. When I was well enough, they transferred me down to a care and recovery center by St Peter's hospital. I was there for a very long time. My dad went back to look for a job. My mom lived near by and saw me every day. My cousin Lena came to see me a few times too. I got better and was able to walk again. You know I love walking. My left hand still doesn't work right but I'm back in physical therapy to try to get it to listen to me. Unfortunately I'm no longer able to ride bikes, bowl, climb mountains or run marathons anymore. But I'm in a good neighborhood and walk all over the place. Most of my neighbors know me. After high school,...Expand for more
I was able to work at an organic farm called Left Foot Organics. But my dad moved away to Idaho and I had to go with him. So I haven't been able to work since. Originally because I lived so far from everything but then because my stroke. In 2016, my dad got cancer real bad. We all thought he wasn't going to make it. Even he believed he it wasn't likely he would make it. So he finally let me go be with my mom. He recovered and left Washington to go live with my big brother Christopher, in Colorado up in the mountains. I'm happy living with my mom and I've been with her ever since and it's good. She likes people and we have a lot of neighbors in our neighborhood. We have a nice house we live in. When I came to live here, my grandmother was living here too. We watched over each other while mom was at work. But then my grandma got real sick and she died. It was very sad. So it's me and my mom now and we do good. The virus has kept us from doing fun stuff but we have been able to take road trips and go out to different places to walk. Most people would call it hiking but mom doesn't like to hike, so she calls it walking in the woods. Either way, I really love it. That's about it. Has anyone heard from Danielle Lynn, Danielle Jones, Allison Kashore, the Jillick girls, Blenda Haner, Steven Lybacker, Carrie Turner, Tara Ashebrenner, Amanda Johnson?.... and so many more that my mom is getting tired of writing them all down. Take care everyone and know you are all still alive and happy in my heart, soul and mind. Love Glenn
