Glenna Paulman; principle of Paulman Equestrian has been a passionate equestrian almost from birth. At an early age she became immersed in “everything horses” and began taking riding lessons; by the age of 16 she was training horses professionally. Ms. Paulman was formally trained in the classic riding discipline at Lafayette Riding Academy in affiliation with the University of Louisiana. Since her graduation in 1984, Ms. Paulman has continued her equestrian education by studying under *nationally recognized equestrian instructors and world champion riders. Ms. Paulman has ridden for television and was a featured trainer at Equifest 2006.
Along with training horses and instructing riding students, Ms. Paulman is a respected equestrian author; writing informative riding, driving and training articles for multiple horse *publications. In 2004 Ms. Paulman relocated from New England to Central Florida and resumed her profession much to the delight of the Central Florida equestrian community. Ms. Paulman brings with her a solid equestrian foundation and understanding of the unique relationship between horse and human. Her successes in training horses and instructing equestrians comes from her belief and adherence in fundamental rider and horse communication tools (Riding aids) which were initially developed almost 4,500 years ago. Classic riding principles which are used universally to provide an effective form of communication between human and horse.
Paulman Equestrian employs these riding aids for both human and horse from the “ground up” method which includes every aspect of the human horse relationship.
Ms. Paulman and Paulman Equestrian do not specialize in one specific discipline and focus instead on basic skills and refinement of a students chosen discipline. Ms. Paulman has won national and world level competitions in both Classic and Western disciplines. As a result of her broad range of experience, Paulman Equestrians horse training and student instruction covers the equestrian spectrum from basic pleasure or trail riding to driving (carting) and Western style.
