Glennis's Story
Life
It is good to be home. I retired from the Army after serving for 25 years and 11 months on 1 December 2004. So now I get to start my real life. I now work for Walgreen as a date entry processor, and it is a big chance from what I am used to. I just want to say to the CLASS OF 1977, please stay in touch and never forget the good time that we had "BACK IN THE DAY". I look forward in seeing you all, "GOD BLESS THE CLASS OF 1977".
Military
I joined the Army on December 28, 1978. My tour of duty carried me around the world. My son with born in Germany and my daughter was born in Indiana. For those years, I enjoyed serving my country and I now have a bigger family. With the training and experience that the military has giving me, I know that I am a bigger and better persons. Thank God that I made it home in one piece and I always pray for my fellow soldiers, that one day they can come on home and enjoy life to it fullness. I retired from the Army on December 1, 2004. I will always carry the memories of my time away from my family and friends. I can now truly say, THANK GOD OH MIGHTY I AM FREE AT LAST. It is good to be home.
I always wanted to be a soldier when I grew up. My family ...Expand for more
and friends thought that was a stupid idea. As it turns out, they were wrong.
I blow off steam by screaming.
If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have prayer, patience, and love to be able to deal with the day-to-day.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is my father, because I did not get to spent the time I need to spend with him.
My best friend would tell you I'm funny, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as crazy.
