Glen's Story

Life I live in Milwaukee with my wife, Karen, and son, KC (born in 1985). We've been married since 1970! We both graduated from UW-L. We semi-adopted Abbey from South Africa when he was 17. He lived with us until his third year of college at UW-Parkside where he graduated in '91. He is now Assistant to the South African Consul General at the consulate in Los Angeles. KC is now one of their first graduates in 3-D Computer Animation from MATC. I just retired from teaching Creative Writing and Journalism at Milwaukee High School of the Arts. We've hosted more than 15 exchange students/teachers from all over the globe and have visited many of them, too. Karen just retired after 28 years as a promotional writer with Milwaukee Public Television. KC dances with Dnipro, a professional Ukrainian dance company which travels all over the country. KC also performs regularly with the Modjeska Musical Theatre Company in Milwaukee. I have an M.A. in Liberal Arts from St. John's College in Annapolis, MD. Up until 3years ago, Karen and I danced with the Czech-Moravian performing ensemble, Moja Vlast, when I tore the cartilege in my knee. Hobbies include photography, folk dancing, scuba, gardening, ceramics, and writing screenplays and a novel. In my spare time you can find me volunteering in one of the tanks at Discovery World-Pier Wisconsin on the Lake front in downtown Milwaukee. I'm the one with the scouring pad and a wet suit cleanng the inside of the glass. School Kindergarten at Longfellow in Lacrosse...Expand for more
