Gloria Bechtold:  

After graduating in 1967, I went to work at Northwest Chair as a billing clerk. I became engaged the same. It was a big day. I worked there until September and went to work at the Medicare office as a receptionist. I worked there until March of 1968. I was married and moved to Hawaii and lived there for a year. Because my husband was in the military and did not make much money, we were not able to go to the tourist traps but we did go to the beach a lot. We also went to Honolulu and Waikiki Beach and people watched. You saw a lot there! We came back to Tacoma in April of 1969. I went back to work at the Medicare office, 1970 we bought a house and had our first child, Therisamarie. In 1973 I had our second daughter Christina. I had a great time being a Mom. In 1976 I got my first job in the insurance industry. I worked for a year and quit and was a Mom again. In 1982 my Mom passed away and I went back to work, again in the insurance industry.
