Gloria's Story
I have been married for 20 years this month (Dec). We have five kids, two still at home. Evan - 12 (in 7th grade), Michaela - 14 (in 8th grade), Steven - 17 (freshman in college), Danny - 25 (in Army), David - 30 (in Oklahoma). I am actually a grandma as well with two wonderful grandbabies, Kali - 9 and Kayden - 5. We currently live in Levelland, Texas. I recently graduated from Texas Tech University with my Bachelors degree and will be starting my new job at Pate, Downs, and Pinkerton, LLP in January.
I was a stay-at-home mom for 16 years where I also homeschooled three kids for 10 years and then in 1998 started my own medical transcription business. In July of 2008 I handed over the business as I was getting ready to graduate and ready to move on to the next phase of my life. in business administration and then moved on to Texas Tech University in the fall of 2006 with graduation this month with my Bachelors.
I am very involved in whatever sports my kids are playing or whatever music event they are in. Steven is attending South Plains College and is going through the Commercial Music Program. He is LOVING it. It is right up his alley. He plays the keyboard, sings, and writes songs. He is in a band called "The Katalyst." He keeps us busy with all his playing dates as well. He is out of the house but not far....we talk every day.
We are very involved in our church, South Plains Church, here in Levelland. I have been a part of the praise and worship since 1994. I love it. The kids are involved in practically everything......sports, music, church, youth 180, etc.
