Gloria's Story
I lived a normal life! I was married, had children, grandchildren. Moved to Florida in 1979. My parents decided to move here too. I was helping them bring their furniture down here. On the way I was rearended by a tractor trailer. I seemed ok at the time. A few years later I began having problems with my legs. In 1993 I began losing them little by little. Now I'm a double amputee in a wheelchair all the time. That's ok! I traded my legs in for wheels. I can still do the same things as...Expand for more
before.I still drive & travel to see my friends, clean house, shop & whatever else I want to do. I just do things a bit different now. I lost my husband 9 years ago & have been alone since then.I retired from work 2 years ago.....Finally!Now i'm just doing whatever I want to do. If I was still up north with the ice & snow & went outside....I might not stop this chair until I hit the next state!Life is just a challange! At least i'm here to tell about it.It could have been much worse!
