Gloria's Story
I graduated from Norte Vista High in 1968. I left for collage, but that didn't last more than 6 months. I came home to plan my wedding. I got married in June of 1968. My husband and I moved to Santa Clara in northern CA. In 1970 we had a girl, named Janet and in 1971 we moved to Sourthern CA. where our son was born in 1972. His name is Michael. t the age of 2 years I noticed some changes in his behavior. I soon found out that he was Autistic. It took almost 20 years for a Doctor to finally say that he was Autistic. Our forth child, a girl Sarah was born in 1985. In 1983 I received my AA degree in Child Development. I have been teaching at a Preschool in Manteca, CA for 22 years 13 of those years teaching Kindergarten. This June I will be married for 40 years.
