Life After LHS, I attended Trenton State College and graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Special Education. Since I realized that I didn't want to teach, I went on to Harvard Business School and got my MBA in 1984. I joined First Boston as an Equity Trader and spent 5 years there, including the time of the 1987 crash. In 1989 I married Carmen Scarpati, a fellow race driver who built several of my race cars. (He has managed our family racing business for more than 20 years now). I ran against all men in the Small Block Modified division for about 12 years. The highlight of my career was being the first (and only) woman to win a feature, on both dirt and asphalt, and being the only woman to compete at the Nazareth National race. I was featured on the cover of the national magazine "Stock Car Racing" in Oct. 1987 and was showcased on TV in 1988. My daughter, Morgan, was born in 1989. She is an avid equistrian and owns a horse and a pony. We have given up race cars and now spend all our time at horse shows up and down the East Coast.
