Gloria's Story
Life
Presently living in Alex. LA and am retired from the Rapides Parish School Board,after being a teacher, assistant principal, guidance counselor, principal, and elementary supervisor. My husband retired as Chief of Police for Alexandria, and is currently working for TSA as a security manager. We have two daughters and six grandchildren. One daughter lives with her husband and two children next door to us. Our other daughter, second husband and 4 children relocated to Jackson, MS a couple of years ago - after living close to us for several years. currently stationed in Okinawa. Our 16 yr. old granddaughter lives nearby with her father and stepmother, and a 16 yr. old grandson and his 8 yr. old sister live next door. We are very involved in our grandchildren's lives.
We live out in the country and I love to garden, walk in the woods, read, listen to music, travel, and play with my dogs. I could write a book about Lucy, our newest additition - a yellow lab who loves to tear up anything and everything! Also, a dashaund from next door, Charlie, has adopted us and lives here with Lucy.
Since retirement I have been active with volunteer work and part-time projects. My favorite thing is serving on school and district accreditation teams all over the country.
