Gloria's Story
Best time at Lincoln were the basketball games cheering for the team and of course we always won! The pep rallies were so much fun and the follies and singing in the accapela choir we had the best choir teacher ever! Mrs Hayward. I am so glad that I could go to some of the alumi basketball games against north division and see all my friends it was great to cheer on the Lincoln high basketball team. I have had a lot of operations since then and I do mean a lot. But I am a survivor. I will always have the spirit of the Lincoln comets in my heart. I go to Puerto Rico every year for 3 months my husband has lot of land and big house of his parents. But my heart is in Milwaukee with my 2 daughters and 2 sons and my 7 grandchildren. ndell Holmes playground & Franklin pierce playground. It was a special year the English teacher from Lincoln high Mr Thomas Tanty came and coached a few times over at Oliver Wendell Holmes playground we had the best basketball team no one could beat them they all were young and went Lincoln high. I took them to play a team over to Hillside projects we beat them, fratney playground we beat and a lot of teams came to visit us on are playground also got beat. I miss everyone from the playground and social center in the winter it was fun. I lived right across the street from Oliver Wendell Holmes . I just wanted to tell you that story because it was very special in my life. I have early retired from the insurance company of 20 years and before that other insurance companies, my husband retired from General Electric x ray systems of 35 1/2 years in 2009. So we go Puerto Rico a lot.
