Gloria Martin:  

peech pathology. My work settings have been varied and very valuable in gaining experience: hospitals, clinics, schools, private practice, early childhood, geriatric. I've even worked in a state juvenile prison, done some work for the court system, and been involved in research. My work has taken me to many places in the U.S., and because of the demand for speech pathologists, I've gotten quite a few job offers from foreign countries through the years. My favorite age group to work with is the birth to three group. My favorite work place has been the medical setting. All this may change though when I go back to school/training for something totally different but that I've always been interested in. Military I was honorably discharged from the US Naval Reserve in 1992 after having served 6 years. I was almost deployed during Desert Storm in 1990 but was instead assigned to a post in the US. While in the N. Reserve I learned things that were completely different than anything else I've ever learned. I enjoyed it tremendously and was very grateful to my husband for letting me do that while he took care of our two boys (who are grown now).
