Gloriajean's Story
The years have been good. I have four sons and seven grands (the youngest is 3 years old). I have been teaching nursing at the university level for over 30 years. I teach blended courses (part face-to-face and the other part online). I really enjoy teaching online. I enjoy working in the yard with my roses and other flowering plants. In high school my major activity was singing in the glee club/choir although, I did belong to the Future Homemakers of America. Oh, the times. Can girls/young women of today cook or sew? I have found a few. The lack of cooking skills and knowledge of nutrition may be a factor in the obesity we see in the African-American population.
