Gordon's Story

After graduation in 1962 I went to Denver University. I made the freshman hockey team. I really didn't study so was asked to take the next year off for "maturing". Got my draft notice and since I was not on campus I was assured I would be taken soon. I enlisted in the Air Force and became a dental assistant. Spent 26 months in Bangor, Maine then went to Izmir, Turkey for the remainder of my enlistment. After the AF I went to Los Angeles, Calif. for school. Spent nearly 2 year...Expand for more
s there. Spent some time in New Mexico. Returned home in 1971 and worked at Laurence Candle for a bit. Met my first wife, Susan Hobbs, there. We married in 1973 and had 3 kids together -- Gordy, Eric and Tara. Divorced in 1990. Remarried in 1995 to Beverly Ritchie. We met at a church sponsored teen retreat. We were there as adult team members. I worked at Norton Co./Saint Gobain for 33 years before retiring in 2004. Life is good and God has definitely blessed me and my family.
