Life Gortria Cherrree (Anderson) Banks I just wanted to share my testimony..... I thank God for being saved from sin and very much encouraged to run this Christian race. I look back on many of the things that I did as a young girl and I really appreciate my salvation and appreciate God for saving me from a miserable life of sin. I tried many things clubs, boyfriends, parties, churches, drinking, casinos, and found that what I was looking for wasn't in any of those things. Then at the ripe age of 27, God said, "you've tried everything else, now try me." I thought well what have I got to lose? I tried the road of sin and found that it's prospects all deceived. Yes dear friends, it was all deception. I found that church membership and religion just didn't do it for me, as I needed more. I needed to repent of my sins and then turn from them and develop a true relationship with my saviour. Many people are looking for love and happiness fortune and fame but I am here to tell you that that is not the answer! At 27 years old with a pretty decent job, a home, and a family; I figured that this must be what it was to life, but then I met Jesus! Glory to God! Oh the peace and joy that surpasses all understanding. I have been saved now for over seven years and my only regret is that I didn't get saved sooner. I could've spared myself a whole lot of heartache and misery. Many choices that I made in sin, I have come to regret but when you are buffeted for your own sakes, we must take it patiently I Peter 2:20. Many may say but I saw you at church and you had never killed anyone, but God doesn't measure sin and so I was just as guilty as a murderer, thief, or robber. In fact, I was all of those things. One doesn't become a murderer because they kill the body, but you can also be one by the words you say in that you kill a person's influence. I went to church and yes I was baptized but I went down a dry sinner and came up a wet one, so it's not in being baptized...Expand for more
