Grace's Story
Life
After High school-I started Art school and hitch hiked in Europe one summer. Finished my degree in New Orlans. Met my spouse, Bill Smith,
At Tulane University. He became an aerospace genious and worked for many years as a systems software designer in Silicon Valley.
I worked there too in aerospace- in technical illustration.
Finished an MBA at SUNY Binghamton in New York - in Non-profit management.
My Kids:
Two college educated, married daughters with 3 grandchildren. Good jobs..yea!
My Job
Just retired from public relations job with a large hospital near Dallas,TX, where I had designed and
facilitated events, designed publications and presentations -----
with some fu...Expand for more
ndraising on the side for a nonprofit hospital. It was nice
combination my MBA and Graphic design degrees and
more fun than my design jobs with Nasa and Lockheed in Silicon Valley in the 1970s-80s.
We have lived in New Orleans, California for many years, Worthing England, Upstate New York (where I got my MBA at Binghamton University in 1995), Texas (waste of time in a bad state)and now Washington state, which is more beautiful than anyplace we have lived.
We love retirement in the tiny Port of Kalama, Washington, in our home overlooking the mighty Columbia River, and with a boat in the marina at the foot of the hill, from which we can fish for Salmon for dinner...Life is good!
