Grace's Story
Life
Hi, I was married to Harry Ferris (Leigh class of' 67) for 35 years. Sadly, Harry passed away in March 2009 he is traveling the seas from Capitola and watching us from Heaven. We have 4 grown children-two girls and two boys. We have two granddaughters, Shelby, 20 and Joelle, 1, and one grandson, Justin, 3.
The Santa Cruz area is still one of my favorite places to go-in fact we spent 9 days in May 2008 in Capitola and Aptos-crabbing, fishing, swimming, sunning and listening to music (we viewed a "swim-out" funeral off the Capitola Pier for a guy our age. There were at least 50 surfboards with many of the mourners also our age and "Surfin Safari" was played at the service), but now that we relocated I guess the Truckee River and Lake Tahoe will be my escape. e is getting shorter every day and it makes one look back and say "Let's never forget the people who were so much a part of who we were growing up and who we are still". Anyone who wants to have some old fashioned fun or just share old memories - WRITE and we can have some great laughs. I finally located Laura Wilson, she's doing really great (married for 42 years with 2 beautiful daughters and a new grandbaby!). Time hasn't changed true friendship.
